About the Collaboration

Since its inception in the early 2000s, perfSONAR has been developed through a collaboration of numerous organizations. In 2014, a development partnership was established to further the development of perfSONAR. The participants in this partnership are:

	GÉANT Pan-European Research and Education Network Founding Partner
	Indiana University Public Research University Founding Partner
	Internet2 U.S. National Research and Education Network Founding Partner
	The University of Michigan Public Research University Joined the partnership in 2016
	Rede Nacional de Ensino e Pesquisa Brazilian National Research and Education Network Joined the partnership in 2021

Each development partner contributes the following:

• A minimum of 1.5 full-time employees
• Computing and network resources
• Meeting space for developer gatherings
